Study advice for Calc 1?

So Ive had to miss 3 lectures of my calc 1 class do to falling ill... Is it THAT big a deal ( missing lecture 3 times) or if I do the reading and probs at home will I be all right? ( obviously this is a very in general question)

Depends on your learning style. Do the problems, get the notes from someone. You'll surive.

Depends on the teacher.. with mine, he posts the homework problems online. If you have access to them, you're gonna have to check them out and do them yourself. I've never seen a math textbook that didn't explain how to do the probs in the chapter, so teaching yourself shouldn't be too bad provided you know math.
