Is it better to study alone or study with someone else? I took the MCAT about 5 years ago and recently decided to give it another chance. I studied by myself and got a score close to the high 20's. I am trying to break into the mid 30's. Any input would be appreciated.

I enjoyed studying with a partner. In my case it was someone who was a bit behind me in readiness, so I was basically lecturing/teaching during our study sessions and that actually helped me immensely in putting everything in perspective, but I think even if you're at the same level it could be quite helpful.

This is completely dependent upon who you are. I couldn't possibly have studied with someone else for the MCAT.

Studying with someone helped me out a lot...reduced the boredom.

Just make sure the other person is as dedicated as you are

I do both. I study alone to learn whatever I can and then get a study buddy to bounce knowledge of off each other. That way if I missed something he might know it and if he missed something I can teach it to him and reinforce that knowledge in me.
