Study Group Ideas????

So I have gotten together a few people in my 1st year class who would like to meet once a week to study together. The problem is I don't know what the goal or format of a med school study group should be. Should it be objective based? Should we just sort of quiz each other? Perhaps just talk about the material in a "round table" sort of way. If you guys could be any help as to what works in the small groups you've been in I would be extremely appreciative.

My study group basically talks through the material. The idea is that everyone studies ahead of time and identifies areas they are having trouble with, and then the rest of the group can help explain it. If there are any online simulators, we do them together and explain to each other what we're seeing.

Thanks for the info. There is so much material covered in one week but covering it the way you suggested will probably work out just fine.
