So I'm just curious about what you guys like to eat while studying. I'm kind of bored of my usual walnuts and almonds. I've been considering hummus with assorted vegetables. I've never even tried hummus before….is it good? I also sometimes make a fruit smoothie that I bring with me to school and it seems to get me through most of the day. I'd love to know what foods seem to get you through your marathon study sessions 🙂

Hummus is good. All about the stuff with tons of garlic (+ a breath mint of course).

Favorite snack = energy drink + beef jerky. Such a "bro" snack but it's great.

Coffee...... only.. coffee.. 😵

But in all seriousness, humus is delicious. The spicy kind is my favorite. It kind of has a weird texture at first, but once you get past that, it's pretty good.
good to know, my friends seem to be really into it. Plus, it's healthy and I usually try to stick with healthy snacks while studying.

I get very sleepy after I eat so I try to keep it at a minimum. Also, I always seem to get food stuck in my molars which is so distracting while I'm studying (sorry for the visual lol). Stick with coffee, it'll keep you alert 🙂

I would usually sip on a beer (no more than 1 🙂 ) during MCAT studying and it went well for me

Ahh, the 'Study high, take the test high, get high scores' philosophy. I knew a few kids in high school with that line of thinking. Didn't work out too well for them.

nature valley granola bars, pizza, apples, bananas, anything that can be microwaved

I prefer almonds can't go wrong with almonds. You build lean muscle while you get your A's.

I always buy a fruit tray and veggie tray before finals to keep me from snacking on garbage. Works well.

OP, hummus is good, but can be variable depending on who makes it and what add ins there are. In other words, if you try it and don't like it, try different brands and varieties.

Hummus is great, but I'm personally off it right now. My new snack is dried, pitted dates. Chewy, gooey and wonderful with soy milk, which is also good on Raisin bran crunch. Plain sun dried tomato or other savory triscuits are good for fiber and a slice (or three) of whole grain bread with a bit of peanut butter can keep one going for hours.

Snacks?
I eat a study meal. It's a good excuse to take a break. Usually instant noodles, mac and cheese, or I make a sandwich/wrap if I'm feeling healthy.

(but otherwise, I seriously love celery sticks and it doesn't make me fat. Win-win)

Mainly fruits and nuts when studying for 'normal' exams. If it's a midterm or final it's whatever i can get my hands on haha.

This weekend was grocery shopping weekend but alas I had no time. I'm running low on everything, especially snacks- depleted.

So tonight I found some bittersweet chocolate chips (for pancakes) and I'm literally snacking on this while studying... I need help -_- lol
