I haven't been on recently, so I haven't found a recent thread for those who have questions while studying for their boards... So if there hasn't been one set up recently, maybe this thread can serve to help one another with questions we might have from the study material, as we prepare for July!!

I'll start off. My question is - on the dental decks, they state that the largest incisal/occlusal embrasure is located between the.... maxillary canine and first premolar. however, the 1996 NBDE states that the answer is.... maxillary lateral and canine. can someone please clarify this for me?? which one do you know is the right answer??

btw, found a few (not a lot) mistakes while going through the cards. so maybe they're not so perfect??

I appreciate your help. Happy studying 🙂

If there are no other posts, I suggest making the exact post in the International Dental forum. They tend to discuss this matter more.

The only thing I've ever seen is that the largest incisal embrasure is between the max. lateral and canine. I'm pretty sure my 2001 dental decks say the same thing

100% sure that it is b/t the max. lateral and canine.

I've found some problems w/ the decks, too. Go w/ what the old exams say.
