stupid question - what is an enteric bacteria?

I take the word enteric for granted, see it often but can't really define it. Is it basically bacteria that are bacillus-shaped, and reside within the GI tract (includes mouth + stomach + small intestine + colon)? And they are anaerobic, mostly? Thanks.

I think it's a broader term than "bacillus shaped" - I think it's just simply the normal bacteria that's found in the gut. Normal flora

Enteric=intestinal (both small and large). mostly gram-
This would not include stomach etc. I would also not use its shape as an identifier since there are several bacilli that are not enterics
