Hey. I may have f***ed up royally. I changed my schedule for Fall, so I went in and changed my future coursework on AMCAS. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal since it was FUTURE coursework, my app hadn't been processed yet, and transmission basically isn't happening yet. Now my cert/trans date is 7/30/01 (instead of 6/23/01). Will this screw me over? Anyone?

How do you keep tabs on the status of your app. on the web site? Where can one find the transmittal date?

Check the online printout of your AMCAS app. It has three important dates listed, a submission date, certification date, and processing date.

The transmittal dates are all listed individually by the med school listings at the bottom on the printout.

My dates also changed from June 26 to July 13 when I went in and added the new grades I just got for the summer classes I just finished.

I do have a question what does it mean when it has date processed N/A? Does that mean it is just sitting somewhere and no one is doing anything with it. the only thing that has changed on my appl is the dates listed above and my MCAT scores have been added. No symbols, no date processed, no secondaries, nothing!!!!

Does anyones appl say anything under the designated schools on the printout that they have been sent to those schools? The column on the far right, will dates appear there when the app is finally processed?

Amy,

Have you gotten the 'change notification process' button in place of the old certification/submission button? Usually that happens right when they first start processing your app.

Date processed means that they have verified your transcript against the courses listed in your application. After that is completed, those symbols will appear to the right of all your courses on the AMCAS printout.

The dates next to the schools are for transmission. As far as I know, NOBODY has gotten any dates in that column yet, but its supposed to automatically fill in the dates as the app gets transmitted.

So I guess right now your app is just sitting in the queue doing nothing. Make sure that they have updated transcripts with the grades you just filled in.
