I have my application pretty much ready to go, so I would like to submit it now. However, I have the opportunity to get my personal statement read and reviewed by someone if I wait until around the 16th. Reason being, I'm enrolled in a pre-med outreach program and they are reviewing everyone's application essay. Will it make any difference to wait until the middle of the month? Thanks.

I'm in the exact same situation, if I wait til the 16th-ish, one of my profs will be back and will sit down with me to review.

I'm waiting, for sure.

Its always worth the wait to make sure that your application is the best it can be.

I remember last year ppl that were submitting their applications first were sometimes the first to be rejected pre-secondary...this of course depends on how competative your app is. Make it is as competative as possible by checking it x100 if you have to.

Some of us (quarter system people) won't even have our grades on our transcripts until June 19th, and schools won't even begin to download apps until the first week of July. I doubt being 1-2 weeks behind the very first day it is possible to have your app in a school's hands will hurt you in the long run. Applying early means submitting your AMCAS in June, don't stress out about a matter of days in a 9+ month process.
