Can we submit our AMCAS without our letters of recommendation, and then send the letters of recommendation to the schools with our secondary application? Some of my letters won't be ready to send until late July, and I am thinking that is going to be too late to submit my AMCAS.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

That's how it's supposed to be. You don't send in any LORs to AMCAS; it's always with the secondary.

I think so. Some schools receive LORs exclusively through AMCAS (there's a list within the application), but I think the rest of the schools just accept them from something like Interfolio when we send back secondaries.

It's a new program this year.

OP, I emailed two schools concerning this, and both of them replied that you can start the secondary application before your letters are in. I don't know if all schools participating in the letter service are doing it this way however - it's possible that some schools are making the letters part of the primary?
