Hi guys,

So I've found myself set back a little in DAT studying while also juggling a full time job for which I have to stay in late somedays. Should I submit my AADSAS application now and the DAT later? my test date is Aug 14. I know that is late but at this point I don't want to take DAT unprepared and I know I can do well on it (got 34 on the MCAT).

I'm worried because my cGPA is only 3.45 and sGPA is 3.38. Will schools look at that GPA and automatically disregard my application even if I would not have a DAT in until august? I'm also an NY resident and would prefer to attend NYU.

Relax. They won't even consider your application until your DAT is in.

I would submit the same date you take your DAT, just to get a head start on the GPA verification. Your application isn't going to be looked at until all aspects of it are complete, but it takes ~2 weeks for your GPA to get verified and around the same amount of time for your DAT score to get uploaded to AADSAS.

It took my DAT about 2.5 weeks to be uploaded from the time I took it. GPA verification is taking longer now (3-4 weeks) so if your application is done, I'd say go ahead and submit now

DAT took 4 weeks to upload for me and GPA verification was two weeks. The DAT should be your top concern at the moment, but kudos for your for balancing responsibilities!

It can take that long (sometimes even longer in rare cases) but it will usually be 2 weeks. You don't need to wait for your GPA to be verified for your DAT to get uploaded and vice versa, you can run those waiting times in parallel by submitting even before you have a DAT score in.

I submitted a month ago, my application is verified and mailed, and I don't have a DAT yet either. But it's all spring loaded and ready to go for when I do take the test.

I would submit right away. The admissions director at Marquette told me to do that. Also, if you submit now, your GPA will be verified and everything will be set by the time you get your DAT scores in.

Also your GPA is pretty decent. Don't worry.

I would submit now, get everything else ready so it's good to go when you take your DAT. Some have said they have emailed admissions with their DAT score sheet after taking the test to move the process along faster so you could try that.

Yep, I know that you can send a picture of your DAT score sheet to Marquette and Case Western. I'm sure there are other schools but I don't know which ones.
