Is this encouraged if we expect to take our mcat in September or August?

Yes. Submit your app first (to at least one school) to get verified (can take up to 6 weeks), and then send in your MCAT score when it comes in. There is no point in delaying until September/October (meaning it might not be verified and sent to schools until November) for your MCAT scores, if that's all you are waiting for.

He's talking about secondaries, but ya you can- you just won't have a completed application at the school until your mcat score is in. Depending on how well you think you did, you might want to wait.

Whoops. Yeah of course. You can submit the secondaries any time you want after you get them. They just won't look at them until your MCAT goes in.

Personally I would finish the secondaries, and then when my MCAT comes out, I would submit them all the same day. That way if I scored below their cutoffs or way too low to be competitive, I might save the secondary fee.
