I am such a dumb@##...I submitted my ps with an error on the second line of my opening paragraph....It's so noticable...Are they going to look down on me? 🙁 Here's my mistake: "imagination a I rode the" instead of "imagination as I rode the" ... :scared:

I'm sorry to hear. It sticks out like a sore thumb but I doubt it will keep you out of dental school.

why didnt you proofread something this important?

I profread it 1000 times...I don't know how that letter got erased b/c it's on my final draft. 🙁....

Eh... it happens, too bad MS Word doesn't have a foolproof grammar check, because that sentence clearly made no sense.

Don't worry about it! Chances are they will be skimming through your statement and won't even notice it. Most people make mistakes somewhere in their application! It's almost unavoidable! Even if you proofread it a million times, little things escape your attention, and guess what: that means it will probably go unnoticed to the adcoms too! Just to make you feel better, do an advanced search and type in "typo application" and you'll find a ton of posts where people state that they made mistakes in their PS and elsewhere in their app, and still got in. In fact, one guy had previously applied to law school and accidentally used the law school statement in his med school app instead of his med school statement and he still got in to a prestigous medical school!!!!! If that doesn't make you feel better, I don't know what will. Don't stress! You're not ruined. Everybody makes mistakes!

Don't loose sleep over it, I'm sure you'll be just fine. While it is right at the beginning of your statement I'm sure an adcom will quickly read over it. Besides, I'm sure yours is certainly not the first essay to be submitted with some sort of typo.

hey how did u guys do on indenting and spacing when you post your
personal statements on aadsas? I just tried and it really didn't work
out very well. The just messed it up... can I just leave it like that?

Leave a blank line to separate paragraphs and don't indent.
