Quick question: I was searching through these forums, and found that there have been quite a few people (mostly who were on the quarter system) that have submitted their AMCAS w/o their spring grades since they would not be on their transcript until mid to late june, or even later. I was just wondering: if you are one of these people, do you list your spring term courses as "current" or as courses that u have completed in the spring? If u do the latter, it requires you to put a grade, and if you don't, AMCAS gives you a little warning about it. What have you guys done? Do you just ignore the warning, and then send an updated transcript later in the year? Or does AMCAS actually wait until you can give them an updated transcript before they verify your app (if you have courses listed w/ no final grades)?

put current, that's what i did because my grades were still pending the summer i applied because I had had a family emergency during finals and it took a good chunk of the summer to get the finals finished

List them as current. Medical schools may ask for a transcript showing final grades (and any school that admits you will certainly require one prior to matriculation). Ignore the warning about leaving the grade box blank - it's just to make sure you know you left some gradeless.

Best of :luck:,

what if you actually WANT your spring grades to be shown and calculated into your BCPM and AO gpa? how does this affect you submission date, verification status, etc.? my school posts spring grades near the end of june...

Then your submission date will be later, your verification date will be later, etc. :hardy:
