Submitting app before DAT (1 school vs all choice schools)

I have completed my application for this cycle pretty much (except for 2 LORs). My DAT test date is July 6. Since application verification can take 4-6 weeks, I want to submit my application within the next week. By the time it gets verified, I will probably have my official DAT scores in.

My question is: should I apply to only one school that is not one of my top choices, or apply to all the schools on my school list? Applying to one school for now will allow me to look over my DAT scores before I decide to apply to more schools.

Also, is applying to one school and then applying to different schools the next cycle still considered a re-applicant?

I'd say apply to one school and see how your DAT goes before applying to more just in case something goes terribly wrong and you're no longer competitive at some schools. Schools also typically won't begin looking at your application until your DAT scores are received anyways.

If you apply to one school this cycle and then different schools next cycle, you are still considered a re-applicant.

I am doing the exact same thing. We are even taking the DAT on the same day... You may want to select the schools you are considering so that you can prewrite their supplemental questions, then remove them before you submit. I’ll be submitting today. Good luck on the DAT

I decided to submit my app with 1 school added. I will add the rest after I finish my DAT... don't have time for that now lol

Yes you can submit your app before your DAT scores are in. There’s a place to indicate your test date on the app.

I'm also doing the same thing, just applying to a school to get the application processed. We're also taking the DAT same time haha. Great minds think alike eh? This way I don't have to wait an additional 4-6 weeks after my DAT.
