Hi everyone,
I'm finally applying this Friday and would like some tips on the schools I listed and any other advice you may have. I made a post before so sorry if you read that one.
Quick summary of my credentials:
-Massachusetts Resident
-Graduated 2012 at very good private university
-2 years research technician at hospital (current position)
-2 years undergraduate research experience
-Volunteer tutor at children's hospital (currently)
-LOR from DO and MD
-Some clinical experience in undergraduate
-cGPA:3.5 and sGPA: 3.42
-MCAT 10/6/9 and then 11/7/11
Yup, so I made a list of DO school based on location and mostly from the forums on what people consider "very good". I'm not sure how they match with my stats though.
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)
University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM)
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton Campus (LECOM Bradenton)
Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM)
Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine–California (TUCOM-CA)
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)
Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (CCOM/MWU)
Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine (DMU-COM)
Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (Western U/COMP)
Georgia Campus–Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (GA-PCOM)
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCUMB-COM)
A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM)
Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM)
Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine (TUNCOM)
Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University (AZCOM/MWU)
New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYIT-COM)
I'm also not sure if I should apply to schools like LECOM Brandenton or GA-PCOM, but I felt like I should add them because they are branches from LECOM and PCOM. Im I applying to too many school?
I THANK YOU for your advice.
-Future physician, maybe. =)
