So I was talking to my advisor and he said I don't know if this is a bad thing or good thing for when you apply to medical school:

My freshman quarters were all 2.3, 2.6, 2.5.. all in that range almost

Sophomore 2.5, 2.4, then....

After deciding I wanted to be a doctor: 3rd quarter Sophomore: 4.0,
Summer quarter 3.9

Junior Year: 3.85 (Organic pulled me down a bit), 3.9, and this quarter that just finished 3.9

- So what my advisor was telling me was that it might be seen in a negative light that you started all your EC's (volunteering, community) just suddenly and they might see it as desperate attempt to get a good profile

Can i use this to my benefit? like say in essay what suddenly changed me... and should I even mention that i was addicited to trading in financial market before that? those little details really made a difference to me

I would frame it as "I was unfocused, and then I realized what I wanted, so..."

I wouldn't mention an addiction to anything, but that is just my opinion.
