Our current solution ranges from .6 to .125 Bupi, plus 2-5mcg/ml Fentanyl. Ive read on here a while back ppl using sufenta in epidurals before and my typical big abdominal case or thoracotomy requiring epidural includes a sufenta infusion and then a bolus of the catheter w/ .125 bupi and 5mcg sufenta prior to wake up. I geat really great wakeups on open AAA's, Whipples and Esophagectomy's with this routine. Ive also gotten many compliments from pacu nurses on how comfortable they are when the pts are there, and then our standard infusion goes over to regular fentanyl w/ bupi. I was wondering if any folks out there use sufenta as part of their standard epidural infusion and if so how much would you be using per ml and per hour.
Thanks!!
