Suggestions for Cosmetic Dentistry textbooks

Anyone who knows me knows I am a bookworm 😛 I was wondering if anyone has good suggestions for a cosmetic dentistry textbook.

I have come across a number of them and the ones that struck me were the following :

1)"Esthetic Dentistry and Ceramic Restorations" by Touati, Rocha and Nathanson (1999)

2)"Esthetic Dentistry-A clinical approach to techniques and materials" by Dale and Aschheim (2000)- apparently this is the most popular cosmetic dentistry book-very comprehensive

3)"Porcelain & Composite Inlays -Esthetic Posterior Restorations"-by Garber and Goldstein (1994)(apparently suggested to be accredited by the AACD- The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry)

Anyone have other suggestions?

Dale & Ascheim were attendings at my GPR. It's a good book, Ascheim used to give useful lectures about stuff too. Too bad I never had a real cosmetic case to do with them.

Thanks, Griffin. 🙂 I also didn't have much of a chance either to do a good cosmetic case in dental school or as a resident but now I am serving a clientele which can afford it. I have one coming up which involves veneering 6,7,10,11 and cast post and cores for 8 &9, crown lengthening for 8 ,porcelain crowns 8 &9.

I can't wait to undertake all these cosmetic cases! I am so excited. 😀 But it would definitely help me to read up more on cosmetics and subscribe to some cosmetic journals or take CE courses in cosmetic dentistry.

I'm currently flipping through Contemporary Esthetic Dentistry: Practice Fundamentals by Dr. Bruce J. Crispin, a former UCLA Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics and Director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry. Not a textbook, but students can join the American Academy for Cosmetic Dentistry for $20.00 to receive their journals and monographs.

Additionally, I'd be great to attend the Annual Scientific Session in San Diego from May 16-21, 2006. It's $250.00 for students.
