  1. Podiatry Student
I met a vendor who does medical apps for smartphones and had asked if he had any specific for podiatry. He had told me no, but would be interested in creating one if there would be enough student/DPM interest in one. I told him that I would try and poll students/physicians and ask what podiatric books/manuals they felt would be the most helpful as a downloadable application on a phone (and would you actually use it). I am only in my second year so I only know a few books currently. Please ask your friends and colleagues and give me your input!

Thanks so much! 🙂

PI manual/pocket podiatrics... although i imagine this could be an expensive app, and may be difficult to get the rights to

Agreed with ipod7...👍 for PI Manual. If it wasn't made for Android, I would buy an iTouch specifically for that.

I'm looking into this too, considering a Droid. Since the smartphones can connect to the internet you'll be able to access your OWN notes directly from the phone.
Also, for nursing homes, I've developed a template, and at next visit will bring a laptop with premade "dummy notes" that I can add findings into as I go. At the end of the visit I'll be able to transfer all the notes from my laptop to our 800 number and fax it directly to the nursing home OR if they have email pdf it to them so the charts are all done perfectly each time and printed out immediately after each visit.
My friend and I developed this one; I don't think a charting app exists yet but this would save having to bring a laptop. My friend rooted his droid and it now acts as a wireless router...he can connect to computer via his droid cell phone. 👍

I own a Droid. Its a nice phone for tech geeks. Right now, there's another phone out there called "Droid Incredible" which is supposedly better than the Motorola Droid. You should check it out.

Please, we need a pod iPhone app, lots of anatomy stuff. While on your way, suggest an iPad app... With lots of anatomy stuff and ossification dates.
