My GPA is low: BCP 2.94, Science 3.07, and Overall 3.27.
I took my first DAT on 8/29. TS:21; AA: 20; PAT:19.
Two LORs from professors are probably not too impressive. Other two LORs from a volunteer adviser and dentist are probably better. Dental shadowing for more than 100 hrs, and community service for more than 200 hrs.
I only have one quarter left at school so the option of raising up my GPA is not entirely realistic unless I take additional courses after I graduate this December. lI'm planning to retake my DAT on 11/28. I'm almost confident I can push for a higher score. The problem is, I know I'm late on the application process. The schools just started to reviewed my app. last week (starting around 9/10). I'm retaking my DAT anyways. But is it necessary to request some schools to hold my app. until early December ( around 12/11 ish) and review it after getting my new official DAT score? Assuming I push my DAT score to a 23-24, would it matter if I ask for a hold?
In other words, with my stats, should I:
1. Go ahead and ask all schools to review my application now, and notify them to re-review my app. with my new DAT score, with the risk they might not even look at it?
2. Ask some schools to hold my app. til December?
