So I am planning on applying as early as possible in the summer of 2015 and I know that after you submit your AADSAS application you can't edit or add anything but your DAT I believe. I was looking in to a summer program I really really want to do and I'm not sure if it would even be worth it because they won't be able to see it on my application unless I add that I WILL be doing it that summer. What do you guys think? Should I apply to the program or take a summer off and relax?

Applying early > having one extra EC on your app. What's the program and how long is it? You can put future dates on your AADSAS application, too, indicating that you will be participating in the activity.

ps nice avatar! Mine is looking at the molar bear under loupes.

Agree with free99, applying early is more important. It also gives you something to talk about in supps/interviews when they ask the dreaded "Is there anything else we should know that you didn't include on your application?" question. Just in case you do something extra after you apply.

Thanks, I wasn't sure whether including something you haven't done yet is acceptable or not. I definitely didn't want to do nothing anyways!
