Hi everyone, I am currently I sophomore who has finished the first semester of the school year.
I will be choosing courses for the IB very soon and I'm interested in doing pre-med along with an undergrad in Aerospace Engineering. I've read many threads about Biomed + Premed but I really have a bigger passion for Aerospace Engineering than Biomed. Although I do have a passion for medicine.
Since I don't live in the US currently, and I'm not a citizen either, I have been doing some searches for STEM Summer Camps in Colleges and I really don't know what is better. Should I take an engineering camp or a pre-med camp? In all honesty, I am still undecided about what I want to do in the long run.
I'm also planning to take physics (because of engineering) and probably chemistry (not biology). Will this affect my chances of taking pre-med because the schools may want me to take biology or something?
I currently am a high B+ or low A- student in my school. Will I have a good enough gpa if I take engineering and pre-med? The only reason why my grades are low is because of my language and humanities subjects. I have an A- average in my sciences and an A average in mathematics.
Please link some good summer camps and what kind of camp I should take because most camps only offer either pre-med or engineering subjects. It would be great if there are recommendations for what colleges fill my criteria. (I generally would prefer a big urban city setting with a large number of students who also stay in the dorms). This is because I am also going to check out some colleges during my time visiting the US (when I will also take my summer camp) this summer.
Thanks so much for reading my text wall!
