I'm planning to take Intro Physics at a local 4-year university at home this summer. I've read threads relating to taking summer prerequisites and they seem to say that my MCAT score will speak for the quality/rigor of the summer course. I go to a top-20 college so I don't want to give the impression that I'm taking summer courses away from my institution to get better grades. Is this something I don't need to worry about?
I already talked to my pre-med advisor about it and she said physics is the only course that med schools don't really mind having me take over the summer (as a prerequisite). A little odd but it may be specific to my college. I just want to confirm that taking a pre-requisite over the summer would be weighted equally to the courses I take at my college.
PS I checked the transfer policy and the credits/grades transfer over.
