I am going to be a sophomore and I am a Finance major. I was wondering if it is alright to take lower level business classes such as Accounting and Econ at a community college. I need to fit some other classes such as upper level Science classes/electives into my schedule. I really need to free up some room.

As long as your university classes are in the A range, especially the sciences, there is no reason taking some classes at a community college should hurt you. The fact that the CC classes won't be pre-reqs or even sciences means med school's won't care at all; just do well in all the classes, both university and CC, to keep your GPA up. :luck:

Excellent. My school does not count summer courses towards your gpa so I really need to work on my sGPA. I noticed that you are Wright State University? Mind if I PM you about a couple of things regarding going there?

The GPA calculation from your school is NOT the GPA calculation used by AMCAS in your medical school application. If those summer classes are for credit with a letter grade, they will be calculated in your medical school application.

I see. Thank You

Wayne State, actually, in Detroit.
