Hey all, looking for some opinions on my schedule for this summer and fall.

Summer I am taking Organic 1 with lab (first half of summer) and then also Organic 2 with lab for the second half. Not sure if I should try squeezing another class in there, being that I already have a one hour commute to the school (one way). Any thoughts?

Fall I am taking Ecology with lab, Biochemistry lecture (not sure if taking the lab is a good idea) and possibly one more class such as an elective. I wanted to add Cell Bio in there but unfortunately all classes are full for both summer and fall. If one opens up I may snag it.

Planning on taking the MCAT early 2013. Any criticism on both orgos during the summer, followed by biochem in the fall? Both positive and negative feedback is appreciated.

dumb thread.

post in the correct area next time.

I guess I don't see what your issue is? Its not like you're taking all 3 at the same time.

Excellent response, thank you!

I suppose I am just trying to pick the brains of those willing to give me insight on a decent setup, or to comment on what I have chosen and make suggestions that seem more feasible and/or beneficial.

Next time I will make an effort to post in the right section. My apologies.

It all sounds fine to me. Don't take any other summer classes on top of the organics -- they should be enough to keep you busy.

Thank you for the response! I suppose I will leave the summer alone and just focus on each ochem

Yeah OChem in the summer is fine. It is a challenging class for many people, but just ensure that you have no other commitments while your taking the series.

Thanks! I am considering maybe doing a chem research lab or tacking on Analytical Chem+lab to finish my minor in chemistry. That, plus the Ochems should be more than enough for the summer. Not to mention a 1-hour commute each way :/

There is an official "how does this schedule look thread". You have to use the search to find it though.

Schedule looks fine. If you're planning to be full time, I'd add another elective for fall just in case cell bio doesn't open up.
