Summer grades

Hey,
I have a pretty low GPA but a 24 AA and 27 TS. I am planning to take 4 classes in the summer which will end in mid August. I heard some schools can see the "In Progress" classes and sometimes they wait for the grades to come out in order to make a decision. I am planning to apply before my summer grades come out and send an update letter to schools after. Do you guys think update letter help? or should i wait for summer grades and then apply? i know some school only look at them in November when academic update is available. I feel like i do need a boost in my GPA since its on the low side. Thanks!

whats your low gpa/bcp? What classes are you taking? Are you only taking them to boost your gpa or are they pre-reqs? Those are important questions. But otherwise your DAT is AMAZING and since it is standardized for everyone, it will definitely stand out to schools.

unfortunately my GPA is around 2.8. I'm currently in a post bacc program taking upper division science classes and got A's (28 units so far) in all of them and i have a pretty strong upward trend for past 2 years. I'm taking classes to boost my GPA. i finished all the pre-reqs and retook them in college.

If you’re getting all A’s in your post bacc I think that will be all the programs need to see in terms of GPA. I don’t think that they will wait for summer session grades.

I think your fine. Apply early, it's the best thing to do! Your giving yourself the chance of possibly getting interviews early on based off your post bacc and DAT but waiting for your summer courses which won't affect your GPA too much just lowers the chance of getting many interviews. Some schools might wait for your summer grades which is fine because there is nothing you can do about that...but by not applying early your not giving yourself the chance of getting interviews for schools that could be interested without your summer grades.
