This is a tad premature, as I don't know what my professor is going to do yet, BUT...one of my professors who I thought would be willing to write me a LOR won't leaving me with a prof that I have only talked to on occasion. I don't care if he writes me a letter saying I got an A in his class and that's it, at least it fulfills the sci LOR requirement. I have two other good letters, one sci, one non, and a pending good letter from a DO, so hopefully those could compensate. My dilemma is this, if he refuses, even after copious begging, I will only have 1 sci LOR, narrowing the school list I have to only a few. I have been accepted into a cool sounding public health internship, but if I don't get a letter, I think I have to withdraw from it to take a science class this summer and get to know the professor really well to get the LOR. If you were in that situation, what would you do?

I ask every other sci teacher I had.

Hooray! My engineering professor from two years ago agreed to write me a letter. Hopefully that'll count.
