Did you study 24/7 during the summer? Did you do anything else beside studying (research, shadowing, etc.)?
Currently, I am deciding whether I should stay at school or at home for the summer.
I know that I study better at school, but then I have to take care of cooking, laundry, grocery, etc. Also, I can maybe do some research and volunteering!
At home though, I don't know if I am going to be productive, but then I do not have to worry about cooking and other stuffs.
What did you guys do?Any inputs would be appreciated!

did kaplan class spring-summer, studied about 24/7 for a month, did clinical research and shadowing after mcat

Studied maybe 4 hours a day tops for 2.5 months over summer.

I studied for technically 3 months, but one of those months, I went out of the country to visit relatives, so I didn't get much done. I also shadowed/volunteered.

I studied pretty heavy during the early summer ("24/7", I guess...more like 8-10 hours, 6 days per week.) Although, I only prepped for about a month.

No one should need to study 24/7 for an entire summer to prep for the mcat.

Get going, get it done, and get moving on with your life.

I really wanted to apply this cycle.

Currently taking one summer class, working an internship, and trying to study for the MCAT. Honestly, it's nearly impossible (I have no idea how people manage to study during the regular school year). I go to class 10:30AM-12:45PM, work from 1-5PM, do my homework for my class 5:30-7:00PM, study for the MCAT 7:00PM-2:00AM. Since there is an exam for my class on Fridays, I often have to sacrifice a lot of MCAT time on Thursday nights. Note during these times, I also need to do things like use the bathroom or prepare food and whatnot, which further reduces time spent actually studying. I'm really into weightlifting too and don't even have time to go the gym. I usually never let anything get in the way of that. I don't have time to mess around at all and it's just miserable. I am trying to use this schedule because it looks great: http://www.mcatforme.com/syllabus/3-month-schedule/3-month-program-week-1/ (might have to register), but I can barely finish the scheduled assignments.

My MCAT is in July and I thought I could get away with applying slightly late this cycle because of my grades and whatnot, but I'm starting to feel like it isn't worth it. In fact, I am actually considering applying a year after graduation now where I can just dedicate a summer to studying for the MCAT comfortably, taking it right before the new MCAT 2015 hits. I'm almost certain it'd be better for me (I'd definitely ace the MCAT, have much better ECs, LORs, etc.), but I just don't want to wait, ya know? Everyone just please convince me to the take the gap year, haha.

As for your thread, you should study at school. If you're anything like me, you're way more productive at school!
