Hi everyone!

I am currently a 3rd year undergrad and I am looking to get myself involved in a fun or satisfying summer medical experience. What programs or jobs have you taken? I am pretty interested in doing a volunteer program in another country; do you have any recommendations for those?

Thanks for the advice, suggestions, and input!

Look for any internship opportunities at a local hospital.

For example, a Children's hospital here in Texas has a summer internship for any college students interested in a healthcare career. It is a Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm job (you actually get paid for it) and you are basically shadowing and helping out all the departments. You work with the doctors, nurses, child life specialists, techs, etc and even get to go on rounds and things like that. I'm sure other hospitals have things like this, or maybe something similar. It's out there somewhere!!

Hope you find something AWESOME!
