I'm applying this cycle to MD programs. I found out just recently that I was given a spot in a not-so-well known but still kind of competitive summer program at one of my top 5 Medical Schools (Wake Forest).

But I'm a full time teacher. I'd have to forgo pay, and potentially give up the great working relationship I have for this program.

& for people asking why I applied, I didn't have a job when I did!

Thoughts?? The program is 2 months.

What do you get to do and learn during those two months? Anything worthwhile or is this just cv padding?

How is the timing? A 2 month program could set you back in the cycle if you aren't able to do quality secondaries and such during that time.

I've prewritten all of my secondaries already.

I'd prefer to teach, but feel as if a summer program might show my school of interest, hey, I really want to go here.

Tough decision. I'd go with the teaching if you're planning on talking about it your PS. Continuity of the Job might end up being important. Others might disagree with me.
