Hey everyone,
I wanted to apply to a summer research program, not necessarily with a stipend, but unfortunately the deadline has already passed for a lot of research programs if not all.
Is it too late to apply for a research program ?
If anyone has any clue about where I can find a good research program to apply to now, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

I am confused, like HHMI or Doris Duke programs? Or are you just trying to find research for the summer at your school?
I'm just trying to find a summer medical research program preferably in the states or the UK. Nothing in specific as long as I get some work done and not waste this summer.
To put you in perspective, I'm a third year medical student.

So, I am assuming you are not in medical school in the US, then?

I am not aware of any formal research programs done in the US available to non-US students. If you just want to find work/research for the summer then I advise you to e-mail the lab managers and PIs of labs you'd be interested in. Of course, you'll likely have to find housing on your own.

Yes you're absolutely right I'm not in the states.
Housing is not a problem neither is emailing separate labs. My main concerns are the probability of finding a research lab that would take me ( what are my chances? ) and would I be allowed to be involved in research ( or would I be treated at as a research assistant) and if my work is good enough perhaps get my name there as an author or a contributor ?

That is all something you'll have to work out with the PI. Are you only doing 2-3 months? It is often very hard to do enough substantial work in that time to get published.
