UCSF-needs Calc 2 (haven't taken Calc 1 in 10 years so that one should be intersting
UT-Austin-needs genetics. If I am blessed enough to get in I'll have to move to Texas for their summer 2 session.

Doesn't anyone else's pharm school start in the summer? Mine begins Aug. 7th, so basically my entire summer is going to be taken up with moving and preping! PLUS, my school requires that you finish prereqs by the end of spring.

I heard taking chem over the summer, especially session 1 is youre new to chem is a bad idea. Basically, I heard its pretty much too hard to learn the material well and be prepared for the pcat and ochem. Has anyone here taken chem 1 and 2 over the summer?
Calculus!! and hopefully NOT statistics... again. UGH.
I'm putting out a huge prayer to all of those who have gotten in, but have realized they might be going to summer school for something they've been working hard on all semester. It stinks but the world goes on..
Congrats to everyone who got in... we'll see if the gods are on my side April 28 during my interview!!

I actually took gen chem 1 short summer session... I came away with nothing.. subsequently I audited chem1 over the next full semester so i could actually understand the concepts. thats just me though.. maybe you will be able to understand the information quickly. my only advice.. if you plan on taking chem in summer, let that be the only class you take that semester. you have to devote all your time to that class. hope this helps

Hey StarSweet, if you go to UT are you going to take genetics summer 2? You are out of state right?starsweet said:If I go to UT, I need to take Genetics too. Maybe we could take it together!I purposely left it last in case I don't get in.

I took Chem 1 the once a week, long session and Chem 2 the first 6 week summer session. If your teacher is okay and you devote all your time to it, it shouldn't be too bad. A lot of kids from the university take the summer sciences at the local community colleges. GoodsASU said:I heard taking chem over the summer, especially session 1 is youre new to chem is a bad idea. Hi!
Does anyone know any college or UC that offered anatomy and Physiology I and II over this coming summer? Around Southern CA, I mean. I know RCC offers only the first one.
Also, this- i'am asking for my friend, any college offers the general bio series over this summer?
If you know, please help.
Thanks!
