Have anyone taken the sunday mcat?
How different is it? better?

Also, what reasons are good enough for AAMC to let you take it sunday?
They say religious activities.

Thanks a lot

sunday mcat is generally written by kids who for religios reasons can not take it on saturday. these include 7th day adventists and religios jews. The sunday test has been rumored to be more difficult ( though this is probaly just a rumor) than the saturday test so be wary taking it on saturday unless you have to.

I'd seriously doubt they'd make it harder because that would just be punishing someone based on their religion (or other excuse for a sunday test)

A friend of mine chose to do it on Sunday a few years ago and had one of the same forms administered to the Saturday folks so I doubt that it would be more difficult.

I doubt the exam itself is harder. However, the number of students taking the exam is far lower. Therefore, it is statistically more likely for the raw score/scaled score conversion to be considerably different.

In other words, since there's more people taking the exam on Saturday, you're more likely to get a consistant sample of pre-medical students. However, since there are fewer people taking the exam on Sunday and let's say, for example, they are considerably smarter (hence misrepresentative) than the general pre-med population, the average student will fare far worse on Sunday than on Saturday.

Am I making sense at all??

😉

I dont see why they would not just lump both days together when they come up with teh scaled scores

I do not believe this is correct.

I took the Sunday exam this April because my choir (it is a university course, not just an extracurricular) was hosting a required all-day choral conference on Saturday. My score was scaled with everyone elses (I got the same statistical data in the mail), and I feel fairly confident that my form was offered on Saturday (DJ).

Furthermore, I would suggest to everyone who has some reason to take the test on Sunday to definitely do so. I was one of 3 examinees. Rather than being crammed in a huge lecture hall, we were tested at my school's offical testing center (where they do proficency exams and the sort). We each had our own nice, spacious cubicle. They had personal lockers for us to put our belongings in, and a refrigerator for us to store food/drinks in that they would retrieve for us between sections. There were 3 staff members there that day, all working to serve the 3 test takers. Also, obviously, there was no line in the morning, and the whole process was very streamlined.

Overall, the Sunday test date seemed to eliminate a lot of the stresses that I've heard other people complaining about on test day, so again, take it if you have some reason.
