OK, so this is going to sound kinda silly but, apparently you need to give them your license plate # in order to get the parking pass. Except I'm renting a car the night before my interview, so quite frankly I have no idea what my license plate would be.

So...I assume I can't be the only SDNer who ever rented a car for a Buffalo interview....what did you do?

Personally, I sucked it up and paid the 4 bucks for the "professor" parking lot on the north side of the med school. It's the closest lot unless you have a buffalo parking pass, and I didn't want to get sweaty on the hike from far away parking.

Hey I had the same problem. They are really nice about getting you your pass when you come in the morning for the interview. I was told to get there at like 8:45 and see Mr. Russo and he will hook you up with a pass pretty fast. I was told to park in either the lot where you have to pay or to park in the metro lot (Park and Ride lot) near the school. I did neither. I parked illegally for a few min, ran into the admin office and got my parking pass. If you give me an PM, i will tell you where i parked illegally. Hope that helps.

Hey man, I'll tell you to park illegally wherever you want that's out of the way and not a handicap spot. Just put your flashers on. I would recommend right in front of Sherman hall. Again, don't block the road and don't go into a handicap spot.

Edit: Obviously I mean for a few minutes only.

I totally forgot to request a parking pass, so I just pulled into the nearest lot I found and parked. (even though it said students only). Luckily it was right after a major snowstorm, so I doubt that with all the snow on my car the parking police would have noticed that I had no pass.

No ticket for me 😀
