Quick question to any current Downstate students or class of 2008 ... how are the dorm rooms? is it worth looking for an apt. say in park slope or are most people generally happy with the living situation in the dorms? any difference between single bed vs. studio? any chance of parking a car near the dorms?

sorry for the questions just trying to get things lined up for the fall...currently in a master's program at BU and have to finsih a thesis over the next month, so time is of the essence...thanks again for your help, excited to call crooklyn home..

i would suggest that u look around for apt. the singles didn't seem nice at all. u have to share a toilet with another single room and a shower with even more people. the studio was ok. actually, there is one option that seemed pretty nice that the housing office doesn't advertise at all, but its pretty difficult for first years to get. they take a one bedroom apartment, with kitchen and living room and convert the living room into another bedroom. so its two people in the apt, with a little kitchen and a bathroom. that seemed to be like the best option and is as cheap as the single (studio costs more)

good luck
