I got the call from Downstate July 28th...I'm so exicted...I've decided to go there. Its so funny dinosims, I hope you don't think I'm following you but because of you i got off the waitlist at PennState and now i got into Downstate and thats where u decided to go over PennState!

congratulations to the recently accepted!!! (whats the word whether or not the number you get the call from is a public number? so far .. 1 person said the number doesnt show up, and 1 person said a 718 number... thanks to those that responded 🙂 )

I am 100% sure it was a 718 number...i was driving while she called so i tried to be as efficient on the phone as possible heh

Lol - that's very funny. Have you decided yet where you're going to go? It's a fast decision - Penn State starts Fri!

if you get a new AMCAS ID number i'm pretty sure you'll get two pages

You will have the same ID number, and you will have 2 status pages. You just choose the correct application date from the menu. My 2009 status page just became available.

i dont know if its over... but when I asked downstate (months ago) about the latest date that someone would get an offer off the alternate list, they said "until the first day of class". I think orientation starts the 11th or somewhere around there...

should've updated this. got the call friday august 1st 1:30 PST from an unavailable caller. I'm OOS male as stated before. Oh yeah, they said if you don't show up to orientation on August 11th for some reason, your place gets given to someone on the waitlist, goodluck to you guys

I know the deadline to have all the health forms was August 1st, but my doctor made a mistake and failed to fax the correct forms in time. I am trying to get a hold of someone in the office to answer this, but if you were late are you removed or put aside from the waitlist?

I doubt they would make such a decision so easily just because you have some forms late. I received an email yesterday reminding people to complete their checklist and it's almost a week past the deadline already. I think Aug 1st is to keep us in line and to give themselves some space to deal with the crunch just before the deadline because people do give in things past the deadline.
