So I just interviewed at SUNY and Dr. Johnston said that they "want to accept me" but that they'd filled their acceptance pool so now my application will be placed on hold until March 1 after all the applications have gone in. is this for real? am i really waitlisted for the waitlist (ultimately)? or is this a nicer way of saying sorry..we dont want you? has anyone else been put on hold or is this just me?

Oh, don't worry, that's a legitimate waitlist. They don't have a nicer way of saying sorry. They would just tell you that "it is not possible to admit you to the professional program." :/

class of 2007 is when they graduate. Similar to HS, where you're the class of XXXX (not XXX)

they are still interviewing. & i think, unless you BLOW THEM AWAY, you'll only get accepted as a hold

I was just wondering how long did it take for SUNY to offer you an interview upon receiving your application materials?

i basically said "dr. johnston, i will be out of town the next few weeks so i wont be getting my mail, please forward any information to this new address XXX and if you could, please update me on the status of my application.." if its been a month or more, i would email him, but probably not less than that. im sorry..i kno the waiting game is killer..=(

ok cool thanks!

is suny your top choice?
im not sure if i have a top choice haha. i got into scco and am awaiting ucbso. i think it all comes down to the circumstances of the moment bc cost, my family, and my boyfriend are all going to matter when i make a choice..however, i wish you the best of luck!! and if i get off the hold list and get accepted, u can be sure that i will let them know asap if i decline.
