For those that have interviewed this year or in previous years: What were the toughest interview questions that you were asked to answer during the SUNY interview? Were there any that caught you off guard?

What is the general structure of the interview? Small talk first or get right into it?

On a scale of 1-10, what was your stress level like during the interview? What were your interviewers' personalities like?

How did you feel after the interview?

Thanks

what are your weaknesses (i realize this is a fairly common question, but it's always easier to talk yourself up than to talk about your flaws)?

and the really random ones

If you could advise newly elected governor schwartzennegar on one issue, what would it be and why? (I'm from CA)

I agree.. I was asked what my weaknesses were and it completely caught me off guard. I basically just didnt answer the question. haha It definitely was not a relaxed interview. There were four committee members present and they just fired questions at you. You have to be careful of what you say because they may ask you to "explain what you mean by that." I found only one committee member to be extra serious during the interview. The others were pretty friendly. Also, be prepared to ask them some good questions.

My tough question was, "How do we know optometry won't bore you later and you'll want a new career?"

I didn't have any questions for them, and I really wish that I had prepared something.

There were only two interviewers, both very friendly but not casual.
