Super ambiguous cases of whether or not these count in BCPM. Help needed.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hmmm I'd call AAMC and get it clarified with them. They are actually really good with this stuff and are really helpful over the phone 🙂

thanks. That's the truth. they were amazing today on the phone with me even after an hour wait time. answered every question i had until i started overcomplicating this stuff late in the day. I got one more question, I have an environmental sciences course listed under bio at my school. course description is:
This science-based course takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the environmental crisis that confronts us all. Discussions focus on understanding ecosystem services, how humans interfere with earth's life support systems, and how to deal with the environmental problems we face. Field studies may include visits to restoration projects, local ecosystems, and local environmental conferences.

for half of the course we learned about chemistry with entropy, laws of thermodynamics, physics, and some general bio.

I'm almost certain that would be under environmental science, which is categorized as natural & physical science.

Mark it BCPM, if they disagree, they will change it for you.
This. If AMCAS changes them it's not an issue and if you feel strongly about it you can always appeal. FWIW I listed a number of psych courses as BCPM and none of them were changed. AACOMAS however, changed very random ones to non-science while leaving others.

If anyone's wondering the amcas accepted both as BCPM, so in the future human evolution is bio and so is biogeography. cheers!
