Hello all, I’m currently a 2nd year undergrad student pursuing a BSN. This past week was midterm week and of course the day of my first midterm for the week I ended up in the er with pneumonia. I really didn’t want to miss the exam but I felt terrible. The doctor reccomended that I stay home the next day but I couldn’t stand to miss another test. I felt horrible going into the test and of course I failed it by two questions.I’ve never failed an exam before and I’m totally freaking out I already made an appointment with my professor to review the exam. My gpa is 3.8 and I’m really scared of screwing it up and ruining my chances of getting into medical school. Anyone have any advice or been in a similar situation? 🙁

You are fine. figure out why your failed and avoid doing it again. no one cares about one test exam in undergrad, just your final grades and the pattern they show.

I failed many times before I succeeded. You're building character, nothing wrong with that. The stories of life are what separates us. There is an old saying (I'm going to botch), but it goes something like this, calm seas not a sailor make. You get the idea.

Thank you so much you all. I have realized how much I was overreacting haha. I finished out the semester with a 92 on the final and a 90 for the total grade. Your advice is appreciated!

Are you pursuing a degree in Nursing, but plan on applying for med school?
