For those of you who finished or are working on the essays, how many words did you use? Mine has 500 max but I am having a HARD time coming up with that much. Just wondering where other people were at!

Thanks!

You might want to clarify which supplementals you're alluding to. All schools have different secondaries, some have essays and some don't, some have limits of 500 while some have limits of 5000 words etc.

So far, I haven't had too many problems with not writing enough... my problem lies with more on how I want to structure/say certain things. If you're stuck and it feels too short (usually it's all in your mind!) then you should jot down a list of things you want to mention in your essay before starting it. It usually helps me move ideas around and ensure that I talk about everything that I want to add in.

I also really believe in quality>quantity. Adcoms have limited time on your app, so I don't think that by writing dull 500 words is better than your meaningful 300.

Oh, any secondarys. I just was looking for any general feedback about where other people where at. 🙂

I still need to finish off the Mercer supplemental that I started almost 2 months ago. The number of characters they need has crossed my mind, but I think I only have about 200 words so far.

Some essays, I am having trouble limiting myself word-wise. There is one diversity essay in particular that I am having trouble with. I have a lot to say, but I can't say it all in 350 words or less.

Others (why this school?) I am having trouble getting enough words - any school that I am applying to has its pluses, but I can sum those up in a few sentences.

for those schools that dont have a length limit,
such as MCPHS,

the question is why do you want to attend their school,

would a paragraph suffice??

writers block!!

I spent more than two weeks on all of my submitted essays. My main emphasis was to write something that read like a great short, short story. Being formal was too expected. Plus, I got a chance to showcase my personality even if I don't get an interview.

Should it contain most of what you wrote on your PE thou? "why do you want to be a pharmacist" the only different is "Why do you choose this program"
