Hi guys,

as I was filling out the aadsas, I noticed that every school has supplemental information and I would like to bring one example here:

Special information from this dental school:

Send these materials directly to the dental schools only when an admissions officer contacts you:

  • Application fee $75

So are they saying we need to send extra 75$ per school now? Or is this the case when we do get interviews/secondaries? I am confused 😵😵😵😵

After submitting your app and having everything verified, you will get an email from the school(s) sometime after stating they have received your application and a request for the application fee. That is when you send it in per their instructions. Some make you pay online, others by check.

when is it recommended to have your supplementary materials completed and submitted?

Yes. But it really is not hard nor time consuming to write a check and to answer some more questions if needed. Some secondaries are relatively short. Some secondaries are just the application fee.
oh alright, I just heard that uPenn's took a lot of time and assumed that most were similar, but thats reassuring

On the ADDSAS, check out the supplemental info for the schools you're applying to. Initially I thought I would have to set aside a lot of time on secondaries but only like 4 schools I'm applying to actually have secondaries.
