Hey all,

I am just finishing up my first year here, but I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on a good Qbank that I could use throughout my coursework second year. Preferably it would be something that you could organize by organs systems.

I plan on using Uworld for the last 6-8 weeks before my board prep, so that knocks that one out.
Thanks!

USMLERx is godly for learning First Aid inside and out
cosign.... get a 6month subscription of rx for the first part of second year, then get kaplan qbank for the rest of the year.

Definitely rx or kaplan. Save uworld for the end, they make crazy connections that are hard to make unless you are revved up like at the end of 2nd year.

I'd just use Uworld. Who cares if you memorize all the questions? You'll demolish Step 1 if you have everything there down. It's far and away the best question bank, and as they say, the best way to study for Step 1 is to learn everything well the first time through.

I like how my strategy is working out. I got a Kaplan subscription during my second semester and used it alongside coursework (while substituting other blocks in between, such as micro and biochem) and now am using UW. I think Kaplan gives you a good, strong background and will get you thinking in the right manner and about the right things. I personally don't see the point of Rx when you can just study FA itself. It seems redundant when you can have a completely different source. I recommend studying FA and doing Kaplan questions throughout your second semester and then using UW during endgame.

Score95. The questions aren't as good as Usmle World but they are still USMLE-style questions and cover all the subjects. The advantage is that it is not a subscription, it is on a CD (has about 2500 questions)and it's pretty cheap! If you have the money to buy a yearly subscription for USMLE Rx or Kaplan, you COULD do that, but I personally think it would be too expensive.

I agree with rem, save USMLE World for your USMLE prep.

I think I'm going to just go with First Aid Q&A book instead of USMLErx mainly because it allows me to get away from the computer, which can be distracting.

if you are the kind of person that learns best through questions then get rx its ~3400 questions, together with webpath thats a good number of practice, and you will learn a lot.
