Started my first attending job last month as a PP heme onc. The state where I am practicing has mandated health care workers to get vaccinated. In response a few MA's and nurses have quit and we are thinking of shutting down our infusion clinic in one of our sites and consolidate infusion to one of the main sites. From talking to other providers the nursing shortage is worse than what it was earlier this year.
Most providers here are taking a production hit because of televisits and infusion cuts because of support staff shortage. I am salaried for the 1st year and completely production based 2nd year onwards.
How are things going elsewhere? Any thoughts?
