I was wondering if there were any IM sub specialities that also allowed you to be in the OR

Closest thing would be the cardiac cath lab I think.

By definition, being in internal medicine takes you out of the OR. Internal medicine is the antithesis to surgery.

There are specialties that allow you to be in AN OR, but it's not quite the same. You could do GI or pulm, which would put you in the endoscopy suite.

Closest thing would be the cardiac cath lab I think.

The cath lab is closer to an interventional radiology suite. It's not that similar to the OR, except everything is sterile.
