Swimming with sharks

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Check out Ocean Ramsey. She is doing some amazing research with sharks and also a lot diving with them.

Either this is really meta or you've missed the point.

Excellent article OP. I would qualify this as one of those things that should be taught in residency, but isnt. Thanks for sharing.

There is a ridiculous amount of passive aggressive bull**** in the hospital. People are always trying to test you because there are a lot of lazy and incompetent staff. They will write you up for any perceived slights. The worst are the ones who are either brand new or the ones that have outstayed their welcome.

I like point number 4: 'Counter any aggression promptly....The appropriate countermove is a sharp blow to the nose.'

Principles are the same but I wonder who the sharks were in the 70s compared to today..

I like it because it works on so many levels. You could read it as advice for business, taking care of sick patients who are having treacherous procedures done, navigating the job market, your first day in prison...

First day of middle school too.

The presenter/translator of the talk recently died.
