Has anyone ever switched from Neuro to PMR?
I realized that PMR can basically do everything Neuro does fellowship wise except for stuff I dont really care about like epilepsy.
PMR can do sleep as well right?
Im just not an intense guy, dont really like being on call and I'm not saying PMR is easy but I think its definitely more my cup of tea. I also like the fact that PMR actually tends to physically do something for the patient unlike Neuro. Also I like how PMR docs tend to be the good guy in the patients eye.
I'm set to start my transitional year this June but I'm thinking of requesting a waiver for my Neurology residency from the NRMP so that I can apply for an open PMR position.
Has any one heard of this happening?
