Do not despair. Some excellent programs have PGY2 spots just for residents who transfer into Psych. I have a good friend who made the leap from IM into a prestigious program on the west coast. You can do it, and bravo for not settling in life.

I love Psychiatry and think it's the best kept secret in medical school.
