switching from another residency to DR, obviously interested in starting in 2019 vs 2020 d/t gap year
my understanding is that given that it is very late in the process if i apply now.
so correct me if im wrong but I only have two options 1) obtain advanced posiitions and the default is 2020 or apply to 2) physician only positions, very difficult and 3) start over and also apply to categorical spots, may be difficult anyway and may need to repeat intern year?
strategy is to ..
1) get best LOR from my residency
2) look at auntminnie and residencyswap around December
3) write to PDs, low yield strategy
4) Is it possible to see if any advanced positions has 2019 openings before I ask them or they might reveal during the interview? Can I find this on their website? Tried on a few websites, couldnt find anything.
