i thought all deuterostomes had bilateral symmetry and echinoderms are deuterostomes, but arent echinoderms just starfish? so wouldnt they have radial symmetry?? or are they bilaterally symmetrical?? ahhh i hate classifications!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe when you are talking about deuterostomes and protostomes you are just talking about the embryology. Therefore deuterostomes develop radially while protostomes embryo's develop spirally...

Echinoderms can be tricky. They are radially symmetical as adults, however as far as embryology is concerned, they are similar to chordates, and thus are classified as bilaterally symmetrical.
